Furthermore, Tencel can be enhanced by combining with other fabrics such as cotton, polyester, acrylic, wool and silk to further improve the fabric's functionality. Due to its unique properties Tencel dress fabric is lightweight and efficient at absorbing moisture from the body making it great for tiring climates or sports activities.

Also known as Lyocell, Tencel is another type of viscose fibre derived from wood pulp cellulose like regular rayon but made using an environmentally friendly closed loop process that recycles solvents used during production back into the system instead of releasing them into the environment. Tencel has a smooth finish similar to silk but offers more structure than regular rayon giving it more body than regular viscous fibres which makes it perfect for shirtdresses, blouses and trousers where structure and drape are needed in equal measures.
