This fabric is a beautiful colour and I bought it to make a more formal item.
As always-I washed it at 30 Deg. and drip dries it without any heat.
I always do this with any new fabric.
I was shocked to see how wrinkled and crinkle the fabric dried- really excessively.
But I felt sure it would ‘press-out’.
It did- but even the slightest bit of handing causes the wrinkles to come back. I crush a sample in my palm for 10 seconds- and the wrinkling was horrendous.
I am using it to make a casual lounging caftan- as it is still a lovely colour and any wrinkles won’t matter- but even spreading it on my sewing table left it wrinkled.
I have been buying from Croft Mill since the 80s- and this is the first time a fabric has disappointed- so I will remain a faithful customer.
